Notices: Term 1, Week 9

 Kia Ora Whanau!

This term is flying. We have had a short but busy week, the Tamariki have been focused and enjoying their learning.

Interview Times

These are to be held this week on 31st of March and 1st of April.  Please see below for the link to book a time

  • follow this link to School Interviews

  • select Make a Booking (upper right of screen)

  • use the code: y24br

  • follow the steps as directed

Bugs
There are some yucky bugs going around at the moment. A timely reminder to keep your little person at home if they are unwell.

Head Lice
We have them in our learning space and definitely don't want them. Please check your child's head regularly and treat if need be. All long hair is to be tied up.

Fairy Houses
Have a hunt over the weekend for natural resources with your child. They will be starting to prepare and make their Fairy House with their Buddy next week.
Natural Resources; sticks, schist, stones, pebbles, bark, wool, moss, leaves etc.
If possible send in to school in a named shoe box.

Oral Language - Please read

We have a set time Mon-Thurs each day that your child has the opportunity to share their news with the class.  If they do not have what they need for the time not only do they feel unprepared, they miss their slot for the week and don’t have a photo to contribute to our class display.  Our days are busy hence why we have a schedule they we need to keep to.

Friday 9th April is the Junior School Athletics Day.  This will run from 9:30am through to approximately 12:30pm.

Interview Times

Thank you to the whanau that we meet with this week.  It was really great to sit down and discuss your gorgeous Tamariki.  We commented after every interview about how supportive you all were and how lucky we were to have your confidence in us as your child’s teachers.  This teaching game is done so much better if we work as a team.

Please Note: To the Whanau we have not met with yet there will be times sent to you for the 31st of March and 1st of April there will be a link for you to book online with.  We look forward to meeting with you.

Please note: We are very aware that we have asked a lot of you this term in terms of contributing to your child’s oral language with a photo but it’s an important part of their day and oral language development.  Please try your best to get what your child needs to us early.
