Kia Ora Whanau
Welcome back to school! We hope this email finds you having a wonderful break with our wonderful Tamariki. We are so excited to see their wee faces on Monday and hear all about their adventures. This email has a lot in it. Please make sure you take the time to read it so you know exactly what to expect on day 1 and week 1.
Welcome
We welcome Baxter and his Whanau to our school. We look forward to meeting you all!
Day One of Term Three
We are so excited to have our Tamariki see the new space, we spent much of the break getting it ready for them. We know there will be lots of excitement and eagerness to see everything however due to the room changes their are now new expectations and routines for the Tamariki to learn. For Monday to roll smoothly we ask that you read through below so the Tamariki know our expectations coming into school.
On arrival we ask that the Tamariki put their entire school bag on the bag trolleys outside the classroom. They are then welcome to come into the classroom and show you their new space. During this time we ask that they do not unpack or play with any of the equipment it is just a time to look around and see where things are. They are also welcome to go back outside and pay on the playground.
Ice Skating
We start this week 1. There is a lot of information to come home about ice skating. Please find a separate email sent to you.
Amygdala
Amygdala is an important member of Room 1 and 2.
This term Amygdala will be spending a night at all of our Tamariki’s homes. While he is at your house we ask that he is treated with care and respect and he comes back to school in one piece.
While he is with your Whanau we would like each of our Tamariki to write up what he did with them. Start with a picture plan then jot down a couple of sentences about what they did e.g. This is Amygdala and I jumping on the trampoline, we then made cupcakes and I read him a story. The following morning our Tamariki will share their writing with the class.
Whanau please note: For this to be fair and for our Tamariki to not be let down we need Amygdala back at school the following day.
