Notices: Term 2, Week 1

 Kia Ora Whanau!

We hope you all had a relaxing and fun Term Break.  It’s such a beautiful time of the year to be in and around our stunning village, we hope you got some time to enjoy it.

We are looking forward to seeing and catching up with our little people on Monday morning and hearing all about their break.

See below for this weeks notices, if you have any questions we are only an email away.

Calling all Mothers, Grandmothers, Aunties or Dad’s who are stepping in for Mums!

We invite you to join us in T1 and T2 on Friday 7th of May at 2:15pm for a delightful afternoon with your little people.  We hope you can make it but if you can’t rest assured we make pretty ok step ins and your Tamariki will not be alone.

Term 2 Topic

This term we are continuing to learn about ‘Our Place’ with a science based approach.  We will be looking at NZ wild life with an emphasise on our Native Birds and their Habitats.

Our learning intentions are as follows:

  1. Recognise that living things are suited to their particular habitat.

  2. Recognise that all living things have certain requirements so they can stay alive.

  3. Explain how we know that some living things from the past are now extinct.

Fairy Houses

We are going to deliver our epic Fairy Houses to the River on Friday 7th of May.  We will walk down find awesome spots and prepare their surroundings.

If you would like to walk down and back with us please by at T1 & T2 at 11:10am.

Music Matters

Mrs. Brentwood will continue to work alongside our Tamariki weekly.  The team love this time and have come a very long way in a short time.  We are getting the hang of the pulse (beat) the rhythm and keeping in time.  We are pretty much full blown popstars.

Ball Skills

We welcome Rhiain who will be working alongside our team this term on their ball skills for  two sessions weekly.  We know the Tamariki will love their time outside.
