Kia Ora Whanau!
We have had an awesome week in our new space. The Tamariki are beginning to really settle into and enjoy their new learning space. We will begin all group teaching next week so you can expect to see readers come home.
On another note we have some exhausted Tamariki arriving at school. Our days are very busy and to have some of our little people yawning and nearly asleep at 9am does not help. Please help us to help your Tamariki learn by going some rest over the weekend and on week nights.
Stationary
We are in need of some new stationary. Please pop on the Quizzle website and order your child.
My Literacy Book 1 x2
My Everyday Book 1 x1
Sharpies x1
Gluestick x1
School Start and Finish Times
We have had some of our Tamariki arriving very early to school and leaving late from school. The Tamariki are not supervised by us before 8:30am and after 3pm, we (the teachers) use the time before and after school to plan, prep our days and for staff meetings. Thank you for your help with this.
Poetry Books
We are missing some of our Poetry Books. Can you please make sure they come back every Monday as we use them during the week.
Pepi Kapa Haka
Jeanette Horn runs the Pepi Kapa Haka group. This is on Friday afternoons and at this level it is waiata based. The Tamariki were all given the option to join but were explained that it is a commitment and if they do it they need to go each and every week.
Junior Assembly
Next Friday 13th August is the first Junior Assembly for Term 3. Our Tamariki decided they would like to do this with the boys leading the show. This means the Room 1&2 boys will lead the charge next week.
HERO
This is your go to for keeping up with your child’s learning. We are posting regularly and their current academic learning goals are also on there. Keep popping on the website to see what your little person is up to.
