Notices: Term 4, Week 4

 Kia Ora Whanau!

We have had such a lovely week with our team.  The nice weather makes such a difference as we can have the windows and doors open and can get outside more.

The Tamariki are enjoying their weekly sessions of P.E with Rhi, Music with Mrs Brentwood, loving our busy classroom programme and of course enjoying time with their friends.

Have a fab weekend with your loved ones.

Lunchboxes

We have given the Tamariki the choice as to whether they would like to keep their lunchboxes inside the classroom this term. We have spoke about certain foods that a whole lot nicer when they are kept cool so when the team arrive at school they choose whether they bring it inside or not.

Interviews/Catch Ups

As always if you would like to chat with us in regards to your child’s social, emotional or academic progress we are absolutely happy to do that.  A reminder that we are your first port of call.  Our emails are…

nadia.caldwell@arrowtown.school.nz

sarah.joblin@arrowtown.school.nz

Cross Country and Christmas in the Playground

Our Senior Leadership team are working through the how these events will look and what is able to go ahead under Level 2 restrictions.  If we are still in Level 2 we will be unable to have Whanau at these events.  We know that is disappointing news not only for the Tamariki but the Whanau and Kaiako as well.

As a Junior Team we hope to go ahead with both events despite it being just us and the Tamariki we will let you know what is happening as we know more.

Note: Please read our Newsletters each week as this is where alot of information is shared.

Sunhats

A reminder that the Tamariki need a named sunhat each day.  They are unable to be outside in the sun without one.

HERO - Reporting

Please keep checking our updates on HERO.  This is where you can see your child’s current goals and their progress for the year.  We are always happy to meet with you and answer any questions you might have, but we ask that you make time to do this.

Level 2 Key Messages

Thank you for helping us keep the number of people on site down and manage the Level 2 restrictions that we are having to follow. These are in place for the health and wellbeing of your child(ren) and wider community.

Drop Off and Pick Up

If you need to bring your child(ren) to school please “drop off and pick up” at one of the school entrances or a short walk away from school.

If you need to use the Centennial Ave entrance be ready to drop off your child, before you leave home. This is so when you pull up at the drop off area,  parents should please remain in your car.

If you need to pick up your child, please wait at one of the school entrances or on the paved area outside the Hall. Make sure your child knows where you will meet them.
