Kia Ora Whanau!
We hope this email finds you all well. Please see the below for this weeks notices.
Teacher Only Day
Friday 26th November is a Teacher Only Day.
Damaged Headphones/Damaged Doll
We purchased a set of 10 headphones at the start of the term. Today we discovered 4 of them had been damaged and broken. Along with that we found one of our dolls from the family corner has had a dramatic haircut. We had a big chat with our team about looking after our classroom equipment and if we make a mistake we should own up to that. We have not had anyone come forward at this point so we would appreciate the same message being said at home so hopefully we can get to the bottom of what happened.
Cross Country and Christmas in the Playground
In this weeks Newsletter our Principal Chris Bryant shared that due to the Level 2 restrictions we can not have our Junior Cross Country and Christmas in the Playground in the usual way. Unfortunately we can have Whanau and friends on the school site for either.
Our priority is that the Tamariki don’t miss out so will still be having the events. Keep your eyes peeled for the details.
Tangaroa Art Exhibition
On Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd December between the hours of 8:30-2:30pm Room 1 & 2 are holding their Tangaroa Art Exhibition. Due to Level 2 restrictions there is some protocol around this that need to be followed if you would like to attend.
On arrival you must wear a face covering and scan the QR code on the door of Room 1&2. Your child will then walk you through the Exhibition that will be held in Room 7&8.
There will be arrows to direct you through the artwork. We kindly ask that once you have had a look through the exhibition that you walk your child back down to our class then say goodbye .
This is not as we had originally planned to have our exhibition but with the circumstances it is the only way we are able to go ahead with it and it means that our wee team can still show their hard work to you.
Level 2 Key Messages
Thank you for helping us keep the number of people on site down and manage the Level 2 restrictions that we are having to follow. These are in place for the health and wellbeing of your child(ren) and wider community.
If you do need to come on site please wear a face covering, scan the QR code, then go to the office and discuss your reason for coming in.
Drop Off and Pick Up
If you need to bring your child(ren) to school please “drop off and pick up” at one of the school entrances or a short walk away from school.
If you need to use the Centennial Ave entrance be ready to drop off your child, before you leave home. This is so when you pull up at the drop off area, parents should please remain in your car.
If you need to pick up your child, please wait at one of the school entrances or on the paved area outside the Hall. Make sure your child knows where you will meet them.
Unwell Children
If your child is unwell, they must stay away from school. If they are unwell at school, you will be required to come and collect them. The symptoms we are responding to include;
a fever of at least 38°C
